The Sunrise Golf & Country Club is located in Linkou District, New Taipei City, nestled between mountains and the sea, offering magnificent panoramic views. The course, established in 1988, was personally designed by the renowned Japanese golf course architect Tuyoshi Sato and supervised by the Japanese company Kajima Corporation. The design team consistently adhered to the principle of not disrupting the original landscape, skillfully utilizing natural terrain to lay out the fairways. While preserving the rich natural beauty, they created a competitive venue that meets international tournament standards. As a pioneer in Taiwan's golf industry, Sunrise obtained the first legal "Course Operating License" in Taiwan in 1996, setting a benchmark for legitimate operation and professional standards in the domestic golf industry.
In terms of spatial layout and operational philosophy, Sunrise is exceptionally forward-thinking. To ensure ample spacing between fairways and provide safe spectator areas for large-scale events, the course was designed with only 18 holes within a vast area that could originally accommodate 27 holes. This commitment to course quality and safety has made it the preferred choice for hosting various international golf tournaments. In 2019, the Kuo Pao Group officially took over its management, with "Respecting Heaven, Loving People, and Sustainable Operation" as its core corporate spirit. The group actively invested in updating and upgrading various hardware and software facilities and introduced advanced operational strategies to create an international-level membership club exclusively for "Sunrise Elite Members."
Beyond course management, the Sunrise Golf & Country Club is also dedicated to promoting the deep roots and legacy of golf in Taiwan. The club has a comprehensive talent development program, actively supporting professional player training and the development of youth training teams, striving to cultivate the next generation of golf elites for Taiwan. In terms of facilities and services, from boutique displays and exquisite coffee and dining to professional golf and event logistics, everything demonstrates international-level esteemed hospitality. Overall, Sunrise is not only an international tournament course with stunning natural landscapes and challenging competition but also a landmark redefining Taiwan's golf social and sports culture through innovative management and an exclusive membership system.
