Jiaoxi Golf Course is located on Linmei Mountain in Jiaoxi Township, Yilan County, at an altitude of approximately 270 meters. It is the only 18-hole international standard golf course in the Lanyang area. The course covers an area of about fifty hectares. Thanks to its excellent geographical location, it is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the sea on one side, offering an extremely vast and open view. On clear days, golfers can not only enjoy their swing but also look eastward to overlook the crisscrossing fields of the Lanyang Plain, gaze at the boundless blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, and admire the spectacular sunrise over Turtle Island. To the west, it is nestled against the majestic Xueshan Mountain Range, and to the north, it is adjacent to the famous Wufengqi Waterfall Scenic Area, bringing the beauty of mountains and sea into full view.
Regarding climatic conditions, the tail end of the Xueshan Mountain Range to the north of the course acts as a natural barrier, successfully blocking the strong northeasterly monsoons in winter, thus protecting the area from strong winds. In the hot summer, the gentle breezes blowing through the valleys are cool and refreshing. This unique microclimate, characterized by "rain on the east side of the mountain and clear skies on the west," makes Jiaoxi Golf Course an ideal place to play golf all year round.
The design of Jiaoxi Golf Course deeply respects nature, deliberately preserving the most original topography and landforms of Linmei Mountain. The eighteen fairways are built along the undulating terrain of the mountain, with each hole featuring unique slopes and topographical variations that challenge golfers' balance and shot accuracy. The course is rich in ecology, and crested serpent eagles and other birds can often be seen soaring through the valleys. In particular, the natural lake within the course, "Caonan Lake" (also known as Wuming Pond), is not only the water source for the fairways but also attracts large numbers of migratory birds in winter. Wild mallards are often seen leisurely swimming in the pond, adding much enjoyable ecological wildness to the golfing experience. This golf club, which combines magnificent mountain and sea views, natural ecology, and proximity to hot spring areas, is definitely a paradise for golfers to enjoy their swing and relax.
